Quality Control Unit:
In order to control the quality of products, the quality control of Alumroll Company has been utilized with the modern laboratories and experienced staff in order to apply strict control and monitoring on the products. The main laboratories include metallurgical, anodizing and powder coating to be explained in the following lines. Regarding the broad range of metallurgical activities from melting to heat treatment of extruded profiles, the laboratory of metallurgy in Alumroll Company has been equipped with the modern machines and tools covering the following tests and activities:
  • Two quantometers to measure more than 30 different trace elements in aluminium alloys.
  • Various measuring tools to control the dimensions of extruded profiles
  • Bending, tension and shear machinery to control the mechanical properties of aluminium alloys produced.
  • Automatic twin cutting and polishing machines to prepare the samples for metalographical tests.
  • Metalographical microscopes to study the micro structure of casted or extruded aluminium products.
  • Stationary and portable hardness testers to check the hardness of extruded profiles.
  • Ultrasonic devices to investigate the internal defects of casted and extruded aluminium billets and profiles.
  • Equipments to measure the electrical conduction of extruded parts for power industry.
 In anodizing laboratory, the concentration of main compounds in the tanks is measured daily as well as continuous control of temperatures to produce a uniform product. Moreover, some other controlling actions and machinery on the products such as electrical devices to control the spectrum of the color anodizing, the thickness meter of protective aluminium oxide layer, controlling the quality of sealing on the anodizing layer are considered to assure the best anodizing quality proposed to the valued customers. Finally, before sending all the powders to the production, they are sent to the powder coating laboratory to be tested in laboratorial scales by the means of coating and heat treating procedures in small ovens. The other measuring actions in this laboratory consist of checking the thickness of powder, light reflectivity of powder on the finished product as well as adherence of baked powder on the surface of profiles and sheets. All above controlling and monitoring actions provided by different tools and machinery are prepared to hand over the demands of esteemed customers inside and outside our country.
